Immersion America Program

This is an integrated program designed to create an environment and activities that mitigate the impact of the cultural shock experienced by African immigrants -- children, teenagers and adults -- relocating to the United States. The goal of the program is to provide opportunity for beneficiaries to understand and appreciate the difference between their home and host cultures, enable them to develop knowledge, skills and ethic for the new educational and work environments.  The program will provide training ob basic health especially in areas such a Prevention of HIV/AIDS and nutrition. The program will also orient parents to support their children and participating actively in their children’s educational programs and prepare the children to make healthy decisions.
